Like many others I was inspired into motorcycle adventure after watching the Charley Boorman and Ewan McGregor series The Wrong Way Round. The spirit of adventure and the mystery of those far off locations in to countries I knew very little about sparked something in me that never went away. In 2016 the planets aligned and I, with the amazing support of my wife, managed to organise visas, shipping, funding and time to turn the dream into a reality.
I’m no off-road rider by any means, always last in the group and fairly risk averse when it comes to unpredictable things. Started riding motorbikes in my 30’s where the bug bit fairly hard. Have done many trips in Australia and have been fortunate to have seen the outback and spun a few lap of the Phillip Island race track.
A big lap in on the list (ride the coast of Australia) Kazakhstan and few other ‘stans are still to be explored. Crossing the Simpson Desert one day would be a challenge too.
